WALKING THROUGH THE STORM I’m listening to Last Night of the Proms on BBC3 online.  And they’re just about to go into “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Rodgers and Hammerstein—it’s the 50th anniversary of Oscar’s death.  It’s sung by the proms chorus and everyone in the hall and in the parks around the UK.
When you walk through a stormHold your head up highAnd don’t be afraid of the darkAt the end of the stormIs a golden skyAnd the sweet silver song of the larkWalk on through the windWalk on through the rainThough your dreams be tossed and blownWalk on walk on with hope in your heartAnd you’ll never walk aloneYou’ll never walk aloneWhen you walk through a stormHold your head up highAnd don’t be afraid of the darkAt the end of the stormIs a golden skyAnd the sweet silver song of the larkWalk on through the windWalk on through the rainThough your dreams be tossed and blownWalk on walk on with hope in your heartAnd you’ll never walk aloneYou’ll never walkYou’ll never walkYou’ll never walk alone. It’s the perfect song for 9/11.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk

You’ll never walk
You’ll never walk alone. It’s the perfect song for 9/11.
